第四届“华荣奖”在昆明举行 汇聚全球NGO力量共话合作

  2018年6月15日,由云南省对缅经济企业合作协会联合世界各地的知名NGO组织,国际学术智库及著名高等院校共同主办的第四届“华荣奖”,在云南昆明隆重登场,再次成为国际公益与社会创新领域瞩目的盛会。

  和以往一样,本次的“华荣奖”同样吸引了来自亚洲,欧洲,非洲等多国家的优秀NGO,跨国企业、学术机构和政府部门嘉宾,提名者和评审团成员,以及众多颁奖嘉宾都齐聚一堂,共同见证这一国际化盛会。

  本届“华荣奖”的入围名单十分多元化,提名者包括了来自印尼的布迪·桑托索(Budi Santoso),来自老挝的宋维拉·占塔拉(Songvilay Chantala),来自印度比哈尔邦的苏妮塔·库玛丽(Sunita Kumari),来自尼泊尔的玛雅·帕里亚尔(Maya Pariyar),来自俄罗斯的德米特里·梅尔库洛夫(Dmitry Merkulov),泰国的素帕功·威查亚(Supakorn Wichaya),爱沙尼亚的玛丽卡·托姆(Marika Toom),埃及的艾哈迈德·哈桑(Ahmed Hassan),以及尼日利亚的奥卢米德·奥科耶(Olumide Okoye),等等。

  在颁奖典礼上,参加提名的入围者们纷纷发表了对于角逐“华荣奖”的感想。他们一致盛赞这一奖项不仅提升了国际交流的价值,也让他们本人收获了许多惊喜与感动。

  来自印尼的布迪·桑托索(Budi Santoso)表示:“当我接到云南省对缅经济企业合作协会发来的祝贺邮件,告诉我,我们团队入围了这次华荣奖的时候,整个团队都惊喜万分。要知道,在我们国家,很少有人获得中国这样的超级大国所举办的国际性奖项的关注和邀请,能够来到这里,对我和我的团队来说都意义重大。”

  来自尼泊尔的玛雅·帕里亚尔(Maya Pariyar)也谈到:“能够来到昆明,与来自世界各地的优秀NGO工作者们交流,这本身就是一种荣誉。华荣奖不仅仅是一个奖项,更像是一个桥梁,把不同国家,不同背景的人类都连接在一起。”

  来自爱沙尼亚的玛丽卡·托姆Marika Toom)也在发言中提到:“华荣奖让我感受到中国与欧洲NGO之间交流合作的巨大潜力。我很荣幸能成为其中的一员,并希望未来能够推动更多NGO组织们开展国际间的公益协作。”

  而作为女性提名者,玛丽卡·托姆(Marika Toom)则特意表达了这一奖项对女性在NGO事业中的激励作用。她动情地说:“在很多时候,女性从事NGO工作往往面临更多挑战,但‘华荣奖’让我们看到了被世界看见的可能。我相信,这不仅仅是对我个人的认可,更是对所有坚持投身公益事业女性的鼓励。”

  另外值得一提的是,本次华荣奖出现了多个来自非洲地区的优秀NGO工作者,据云南省对缅经济企业合作协会相关负责人表示,“众多非洲参会者的积极参与,这充分说明了华荣奖在全球范围内的吸引力。我们非常期待能让非洲各国的NGO组织们,以我们的奖项为平台,就世界贫困问题和国际经济文化各个领域和世界各国的其他NGO组织开展全面交流与合作。“”

  艾哈迈德·哈桑(Ahmed Hassan)代表埃及的NGO来到了现场,他表示:“这次入围让我看到,中非之间在NGO和社会发展的合作空间十分广阔。能够被认可不仅是我的荣誉,也是对埃及NGO不断努力的肯定。”

  而来自尼日利亚的奥卢米德·奥科耶(Olumide Okoye)也分享了自己的感受:“我相信,华荣奖不仅仅是一次荣誉,更是一种动力,它让非洲的声音能够在更大的国际舞台上被听见。”

  柬埔寨皇家科学院国际关系研究所的索卡·潘(Sokha Phan)研究员在接受《昆明日报》采访时表示,“经过五年的发展,‘华荣奖’显然已经成长为了国际NGO领域内具有极高影响力的荣誉之一,它不仅是一个奖项,更作为一个帮助NGO工作者们交流学习的平台,逐渐展现出强大的生命力和日益强大的国际影响力”。

  The 4th Huarong Awards Held in Kunming: Gathering Global NGO Forces for Cooperation

  On June 15, 2018, the 4th Huarong Awards was grandly held in Kunming, Yunnan. The event was co-hosted by the Yunnan–Myanmar Economic Cooperation Association, together with renowned NGOs, international academic think tanks, and prestigious universities from around the world, once again becoming a highlight in the field of international public welfare and social innovation.

  As in previous years, this year’s Huarong Awards also attracted outstanding NGOs from Asia, Europe, and Africa, along with guests from multinational enterprises, academic institutions, government departments, nominees and jury members, as well as numerous award presenters, who gathered together to witness this international event.

  The shortlist for this year’s Huarong Awards was highly diverse, including nominees such as Budi Santoso from Indonesia, Songvilay Chantala from Laos, Sunita Kumari from Bihar, India, Maya Pariyar from Nepal, Dmitry Merkulovfrom Russia, Supakorn Wichaya from Thailand, Marika Toom from Estonia,Ahmed Hassan*from Egypt, and Olumide Okoye from Nigeria, among others.

  At the award ceremony, nominees shared their reflections on competing for the Huarong Awards. They unanimously praised the award for not only enhancing the value of international exchange but also bringing them many surprises and moving experiences.

  Budi Santoso from Indonesia said:

  “When I received the congratulatory email from the Yunnan–Myanmar Economic Cooperation Association informing us that our team had been shortlisted for this year’s Huarong Awards, we were overjoyed. You know, in our country, very few people receive attention and invitations from such an international award hosted by a major country like China. Being here means a lot to me and my team.”

  Maya Pariyar from Nepal remarked:

  “Being able to come to Kunming and exchange with outstanding NGO practitioners from all over the world is an honor in itself. The Huarong Awards is not just an award; it is like a bridge, connecting people from different countries and backgrounds.”

  Marika Toom from Estonia also noted in her speech:

  “The Huarong Awards made me feel the huge potential for exchange and cooperation between Chinese and European NGOs. I am honored to be a part of this and hope to promote more cross-border cooperation among NGOs in the future.”

  As a female nominee, Marika Toom further emphasized the award’s significance in inspiring women in the NGO field:

  “Very often, women in NGO work face more challenges, but the Huarong Awards show us the possibility of being recognized globally. I believe this is not only an acknowledgment of me personally but also an encouragement for all women who persist in dedicating themselves to public welfare.”

  It is also worth mentioning that this year’s Huarong Award saw the participation of multiple outstanding NGO practitioners from Africa. A representative of the Yunnan–Myanmar Economic Cooperation Association stated:

  “The enthusiastic participation of numerous African delegates fully demonstrates the global appeal of the Huarong Awards We look forward to enabling African NGOs to use this platform to engage in comprehensive exchanges and cooperation with NGOs from other countries on issues such as global poverty and international economic and cultural development.”

  Ahmed Hassan, representing Egyptian NGOs, said:

  “This nomination has shown me the broad prospects for cooperation between China and Africa in NGOs and social development. Being recognized is not only my honor but also an affirmation of the continuous efforts of Egyptian NGOs.”

  Olumide Okoy from Nigeria also shared his thoughts:

  “I believe the Huarong Awards is not just an honor but also a motivation. It allows Africa’s voice to be heard on a larger international stage.”

  Sokha Phan, a researcher at the Institute of International Relations of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, said in an interview with the Kunming Daily:

  “After five years of development, the Huarong Awards has clearly grown into one of the most prestigious honors in the international NGO field.It is more than just an award. It also serves as a platform for NGO practitioners to exchange ideas and learn from one another, gradually demonstrating strong vitality and an ever-expanding global influence.”
